St Barnabas Hospices Appeal for New Volunteers

We urgently require volunteers with good administration skills and currently have a variety of roles at both St Barnabas House and Chestnut Tree House.

If you possess some of the following skills, please telephone Jacqui on 01903 261132 to discuss the various opportunities:

PC literate - particularly Word and Excel
Good organisational skills
Attention to detail
Good communication skills, both face to face and on the telephone
Email skills
Experienced at using Facebook or Twitter

• Our Fundraising Team need extra help prior to, during and after big events. A variety of work is involved from making up goodie bags, sending out group e-mails, making telephone calls to confirm data etc. Ad-hoc or regular volunteering will make a big difference to our hard working team. Pick up the telephone now and find out more!

• If you enjoy photography and are able to travel to events around the area, our team would love to chat with you.

• Are you an outdoor type of person who enjoys meeting people....?
You can help our Events Team - we need people to put up posters or fly drop, to help run our stalls, or even marshalling. If you have occasional time to spare or can give a regular commitment, we would like to hear from you.

• Can you help with our Lottery?
We need someone with good administration skills who can assist with our Lottery and Superdraws. Also needed are volunteers to take out the Lottery both to events, selling tickets and raising awareness of our organisation.

• Ad -hoc cover required to assist our busy supper cook. Laying up trays, helping to prepare (i.e. cold desserts), serve and then clear and wash up are typical of the duties involved. Ideally 4.30pm - 7pm, but if you are available a bit later, we would still like to hear from you.

• Can you spare 2-3hrs on a weekday between 9am - 2pm and would like to join our housekeeping team? Corridors, staff room and conservatory areas would appreciate a vacuum and our Patient bathrooms a clean.
