As long-standing supporters and fundraisers for St Barnabas House, the team at Bennett Griffin Solicitors recently hosted a vibrant networking event at the beautiful Eastlands Estate near Billingshurst. The focus of the evening entitled: 'Building Bricks -Building Rrelationships' was to highlight the St Barnabas House Building a Dream appeal. To cement their relationship with and commitment to the appeal, Bennett Griffin are proud and delighted to sponsor the first stone to be laid in The Walk of Life - the pathway that will welcome patients and visitors to the new hospice.

And our volunteer Yvonne helps build the dream......

'The care that St Barnabas provides is special. My dear husband was lucky enough to receive hospice care at the end of his life and it made such a difference to him, and all the family.

Hospices are simply incredible places, giving people all the support and attention they need and never charging a penny for it. It was important to me to be able to give something back, as much as could, which is why I became a volunteer for St Barnabas.

I'm so pleased to be able to support St Barnabas by buying a brick in the new Walk of Life. The wonderful nurses here deserve a building that matches the care they provide and I know that the money I give will go a little way towards achieving that.

But it's also going to be important to me personally. It means a lot to know that in years to come my children and grandchildren will be able to come and see my inscription and begin to understand the role that St Barnabas has played in all our lives. It will be so lovely to walk up the path and see the messages when the new hospice is finished.'
