The World Cup kicks off on 11th June 2010 - St Barnabas' Day - and the hospice's Fundraising Team has got a great idea which is sure to score with footie fans.

Why not hold a World Cup sweepstake and encourage your family, friends and colleagues to team up with the goal of raising funds for St Barnabas?

Community Fundraising Manager, Sloane Vaughan, has already got local sports presenting legend, Des Lynam, on her side and hopes that this football fundraiser will prove a winner with local supporters. Des, pictured here with Sloane, is a great friend to the hospice and would like to encourage everyone to get involved and to 'kick off the World Cup by raising funds for your local hospice, St Barnabas House.'
