In-patient unit

The ward team aim to offer a friendly, warm and calm environment. We have a large team of nurses, many of whom are very experienced and have specialist knowledge of palliative care. We aim to offer you personal, high quality care by being relaxed and flexible. We focus on the quality of life for our patients, tailoring our care to your needs and wishes, and working with the reality of your situation.

We currently have 18 beds on the ward, 3 of which are family rooms, the remainder are 4-bedded single sex bays. The family rooms are used by patients who need to have somebody staying every night, who have very young children or for whom a bed in a 4-bedded bay would not be appropriate. The nursing team allocates the most appropriate bed for you, balancing your needs with the needs of the other patients. We have some facilities for close family and friends to stay the night.
