The Day Hospice provides care for up to 14 patients a day, Tuesday to Friday, and is an integral part of the hospice.
The day begins at 10am and ends at 3pm, including a free lunch and light refreshments. The setting is informal, offering an environment where you can meet others who may be encountering similar experiences, creating the opportunity to gain mutual support. This can enhance your confidence, well-being and can help to overcome the isolation you may sometimes feel.
The Day Hospice is run by a team of nurses, offering symptom management, emotional and spiritual support. The Day Hospice is supported by other hospice professionals as needed.
As well as providing respite for the day, the Day Hospice can offer you a range of activities and social events led by our activities co-ordinator, who is assisted by a team of dedicated volunteers.
