Building a Dream

Our 'Building a Dream' capital appeal has allowed us to build a brand new, state-of-the-art facility, just over a mile down the road from the original St Barnabas House site in Columbia Drive.

Thanks to the support of the local community, our aim of Building a Dream, has come true. The new hospice is something we can all be proud of - a landmark building and a beacon in the field of specialist palliative care.

The decision to build a new hospice was not taken lightly. With all the costs of construction and state-of-the-art equipment involved, a project of this magnitude comes with ahuge price tag.

The total cost of building the new St Barnabas House is £13.5 million. Thanks to careful financial planning, the first £9.5 million was already in the bank, leaving the 'Building a Dream' appeal to raise the last £4 million.

The Walk of Life

We are very proud of the St Barnabas House Walk of Life, which was laid to commemorate the opening of our brand new hospice in Titnore Lane.
