We at St Barnabas House are committed to providing the highest quality of care to our patients and their carers. An essential element of this commitment is to ensure that adults (patients or carers) at risk of abuse are protected from harm, wherever this might occur.
If you have any concerns that you, or someone you care for, is being harmed by another person, we would encourage you to report this to someone you trust, whether this be a member of the hospice team who looks after you, your GP, nurse or someone else.
The hospice works closely with West Sussex County Council, which has publications on its website explaining what constitutes abuse, what to do if you have concerns that abuse is taking place and how you will be supported if you raise a concern that you, or someone you care for, might be being abused.
