Glitz and glamour in aid of St Barnabas House

Serendipity Ball

Ball organisers Jo Pocock, Mike Belton, Miranda Coleman, Ryan Lainchbury, Tina Olliver, Sam Olliver pay a visit to St Barnabas House.

A night of glitz and glamour is on the cards this October at a special fundraising ball organised by a local choir in aid of St Barnabas House.

Members of Singers Rechoired, a Worthing-based community choir, have organised the 'Serendipity Ball' to raise funds for the hospice, which cares for people with advanced progressive life-limiting conditions, in the Worthing, Arun, Adur and Henfield areas.

The choir, which aims to serve the community by raising funds for local charities, decided to organise the Ball after member, Tina Olliver, happened to mention the idea in passing to St Barnabas House Fundraiser, Neil Francis. From then on, Serendipity, the act of making fortunate discoveries by accident, seemed like the natural choice of name for the special event.

Said Tina: 'It's a fantastic opportunity to raise even more money for such a worthwhile cause, whilst having a fun and glamorous night out.'

The Ball will be held on Saturday 22 October at the Hilton Avisford Park in Walberton, near Arundel. Tickets for the black tie event cost £40 per person, which includes a welcome drink, delicious three course meal and live music from The Dumb Waiters AKA Esprit.

Generous local businesses have already donated many prizes, which will be part of a bumper raffle on the night. To donate a prize, purchase tickets or for more information, call Tina on 07817 550164 or visit the dedicated website www.theserendipityball.co.uk.
