Representatives from The Rabbit Group have visited St Barnabas House in Worthing to present a cheque for £2,360 to Chief Executive, Hugh Lowson.

The Rabbit Group, which is based in Lancing, is a great supporter of St Barnabas House, having supplied a number of waste disposal skips free of charge during the building of the new hospice in Titnore Lane, Worthing.

The group also gave the hospice free use of their open top double-decker bus in 2011, for use at the Charity Race Day at Fontwell Park, which helped to raise vital funds for patient care at the hospice.

Their latest contribution to the hospice is the result of staff, customers and other organisations using the open top bus in return for a donation to St Barnabas.

Said Duncan Barrass, Commercial Manager for Rabbit Group, 'We are really happy to support St Barnabas House and the invaluable work they do. Many of our staff and customers have made generous donations having enjoyed 'exciting expeditions' on our open topper, which is fully funded by Rabbit Skips.'

Neil Francis, Community Fundraiser for St Barnabas House, added, 'We are so grateful to Rabbit Group for their continued help and support. Allowing staff and customers to use their bus in return for a donation to the hospice is a simple but brilliant idea, turning a service they already provide into an effective way of raising vital funds. Thank you to Rabbit Group and everyone who helped to raise this money; it will make a real difference to the patients and families that we support at St Barnabas House.'
