Hair Raising Day raises vital funds for local hospice

A very special Hair Raising Day at Finch and Co hairdressers in East Preston has raised £865.75 for St Barnabas House.

Owner, Alison Finch, offered customers a cut and blow dry for just £20, every penny of which was donated to St Barnabas House. Cakes were also donated and sold on the day to help raise additional money for the hospice, which offers specialist palliative care to adults with life-limiting illnesses in the Worthing, Arun, Adur and Henfield areas.

Said Alison, 'As a local charity, St Barnabas House is very close to my heart, as it is for my staff. We are really happy to be able to support the hospice throughout 2012 and have some great ideas in the pipeline, which we hope will raise lots of money for St Barnabas.'

Sloane Vaughan, Fundraising Manager at St Barnabas House, said, 'Thank you so much to Alison and everyone at Finch and Co for organising such a fantastic day. Everyone had a great day and not only did customers leave the salon with a fabulous new look, they had the satisfaction of knowing that they had made a valuable contribution to their local hospice.'
