Tribute Funds

Tribute fund

Remembering a loved one is a very personal thing.

Setting up a Tribute Fund in memory of a loved one is a special way to remember them and at the same time helping to support St Barnabas House provide care to local people with life-limiting illnesses.

Tribute Funds are an on-line opportunity to honour a loved one or friend's memory and come to terms with their loss by keeping their spirit alive. It allows you to remember a loved one not only in words but also through photographs, messages, music and videos.

Each Fund has its own individual web page named after your loved one and allows family, friends and colleagues to raise money in their memory.

A great deal of support for St Barnabas House comes in donations that are given in memory of a loved one. Funds raised from these special donations provide vital income for the hospice, allowing us to plan for the future and to continue providing the specialist care our patients and their families need.

'I've been raising money for St Barnabas House over the last few years in memory of my Grandad. Having a tribute fund is a really special way to remember someone and make a difference to St Barnabas House at the same time,' said Claire Frecknall.

Contributions to a Tribute Fund can be made in whichever way you choose. A collection at the Funeral, or donations made in lieu of flowers are often the first contributions. After that, some people organise specific fundraising events and activities. Alternatively, you can make a donation on a significant date, like a birthday or anniversary.

You can create a Tribute Fund by using our special website tributefunds.stbh.org.uk
