We are so grateful for the unstinting support we receive from our local community. Whether it is through donations, fundraising, supporting our shops, leaving a legacy, playing our lottery or participating in one of our events, every little helps.

Without this love and support, we would not be able to keep our doors open and continue helping our patients at a time in their lives when they need us most.

Thank you to the wonderful Littlehampton WI, who raised a fantastic £300 by holding their meetings in their pyjamas! The money will go towards the Building a Dream appeal, and the ladies are rewarded with a paving stone in the Walk of Life.

A huge thank you to Ray and Sam Strotten from Findon, who held the ninth annual Strotfest and raised a staggering £1,600. Over 300 friends and family packed out the Strotten's garden for a night of rock in aid of St Barnabas House - thank you so much to eveyone involved.

A big thank you to Parkside Lodge Rest Home for donating the £1,000 proceeds of their Summer Fete to St Barnabas House.

A huge thank you to our Henfield Friends group, who teamed up with BP Guild for a midsummer party at Rye Farm, and raised an amazing £5,473.05.

Thank you to TAGS from Worthing, for their generous donation of £1,000, which is the result of six months fundraising and a Garden Tea Party.

Thank you to Kevin Underwood and Sue Cooper, who raised an amazing £1,211.79 during their sponsored walk of the Cotswold Way in Gloucestershire. Kevin and Sue completed the 102 mile trail during their holiday in June - well done guys!

A huge thank you to Findon Cricket Club, who held a charity Cricket Match against an Ex-England XI, whose players included Martin Bicknell, Joey Benjamin and Alan Wells. All proceeds from the raffle on the day went to St Barnabas House, raising over £600!

We would like to say a big thank you to all the wonderful staff at Cap Gemini, Worthing for raising an amazing £1,000! The team held a variety of fundraising activities including; cake sales; tomato, aubergine and chilli plant sales; home made jam sales; a Grand National sweepstake; a World Cup sweepstake; and an office furniture sale. They have supported our Walk of Life appeal and chosen a Lifestone to be laid in our new pathway to our fabulous new building. A huge thank you to Suzanne Wheeler who has coordinated all of the fundraising. Well Done!

A huge thank you to our Henfield Friends group who teamed up with BP Guild to help raise the money from a midsummer party at Rye Farm, and raised an amazing £5,473.05!

Thank you to the Northbrook College Skills for Life Students, who raised £106.49 by growing vegetables from seeds and potting up plants to make lovely floral displays to sell at their plant sale. A colleague kindly made delicious cup cakes, which helped boost the sales.

A massive thank you to Littlehampton Academy class 8YSS and form tutor Mrs Stamp
who raised £145.65 during the summer for us with various activities including a football tournament for the World Cup. Thank you all so much.

Thank you so much to the May family for holding another fantastic hog roast and garden party at their home in Lancing in June. They raised an incredible £4,500 and would like to thank all their friends, family and Legal & General for their support in making it happen.

Thank you to students at Thomas a Beckett Middle School, who raised an amazing £869.79 by holding a Go Green Day. Students wore Green and paid a £1 for the privilege. They also took part in Green lessons on themes like recycling. Well done!

A huge thank you to the Hand of Friendship Lodge number 8242 for their donation of £1,000 towards our Grounds and Gardens appeal for the new St Barnabas Hospice.

Thank you to The Demigryphon Trust who have very generously supported our Rebuild appeal with a donation of £250.

Thank you to the Shoreham and Southwick Rotary for their very kind donation of £1,850. The Rotary Club donated this amazing amount of money to go towards funishings in the new hospice in our family living rooms.

Thank you to Shoreline Pet Supplies, Goring Road. The shop took part in a Go Green weekend by asking customers for donations towards their recyclable bag and raised £100.

A big thank you to 'The Rustics' from Rustington Golf Centre who have raised £2,000 for St Barnabas House. The team organised a charity golf tournament which included a BBQ, Raffle and auction. Rotarians from Rotary Club of West Worthing were given a tour of the new hospice in recognition of their generous donation to support the rebuild. The club kindly donated £1,000 towards a large 'Lifestone' brick in our Walk of Life at the new hospice. They have then very generously made a further £200 donation towards the rebuild.

Mrs Woodward has been knitting baby's booties for our shops to sell until she reached her 1000th pair which she has now managed to do. Thank you Mrs Woodward you have done a fabulous job.

A big thank you to The Hustlers who reformed after 40 years and held their first new gig at the John Selden in Worthing. In the process they raised an amazing £567.34.

Ben Curtis (aged 10) had his head shaved for St Barnabas House and raised a fantastic £173.50 after growing it for 18 months. Thank you Ben.

A huge thank you to the Fish Factory in Littlehampton for a fantastic party night. There was a great band, casino tables, fabulous food. What a great night - thank you for raising £2,133!

The ladies from Littlehampton Tangent Club raised a fantastic £800 through various events during the year which will go towards our new grounds and gardens, Thank you - you're fantastic.

Thank you to The Windmill in Mill Lane, Rustington for their donation of £1,400. Once a month they hold a quiz and raffle and have also held a summer and Christmas fayre and a dinner and dance evening. Huge thanks to landlord, James and all the staff for their continued support.

A big thank you to the Charmandean Mark Lodge No 1763 who made a donation of £200 to St Barnabas for two bricks with personalised inscriptions in our Walk of Life pathway. This donation will support the building of our new hospice.

Congratulations to James and Sam for completing their Atlantic Challenge in 86 days and coming in 22nd out of 30 boats. An amazing achievement - we are so proud of them and cannot wait to welcome them home and hear all about their adventure. Well done from everyone at Chestnut Tree House and St Barnabas House - you are both stars.

Thank you to Wall Bros Carpets, Tarring Road, who raised £1,306.50 throughout January by donating 50p from every metre of flooring sold St Barnabas House.

A big thank you to London Pride Lodge who raised £1,000 for St Barnabas House throughout 2009 in memory of Mick Booty. The Lodge also raised money for The Downs Syndrome Society.

Thank you very much to Slinfold Golf and Country Club. The Mens Captain and Ladies Captain chose St Barnabas as their Charity of the Year and raised a fantastic £7,272.50
