  • families can take a well-earned break, knowing that their loved one is being cared for in the peace and tranquillity of the hospice
  • individuals can stay active by attending a seated exercise class or unwind with weekly group mindfulness sessions
  • families struggling after the death of a loved one can receive counselling and ongoing bereavement support

Frequently asked questions about donations

Gift Aid is one of the simplest and most effective ways of giving to charity. It is a scheme administered by the Inland Revenue which allows us to claim an extra 25p for every £1 that you donate – at no extra cost to you.

So, for example, if you donate £20 we can claim an extra £5, making your gift worth £25.

You simply need to be a UK taxpayer.

You should have a “thank you” email from JustGiving confirming that your donation has been received. If this email does not appear in your inbox, please check your junk/spam folder and if you have not received an email at all, please check with your bank.

We’re unable to take online donations from your CAF account via our website.

However, you can make a secure donation from your CAF card account through our listing on the Charities Aid Foundation website by searching for St Barnabas Hospices or our registered charity number which is 256789.

By standing order
To set up a regular donation login to your member area on the Charity Aid Foundation website to download a standing order form.
