Retail Assistant Manager, Durrington

Salary: £8,700 p.a. (FTE £14,500)
Hours: 22.5 hours per week

Working alongside and deputising for the Shop Manager, you will be able to work independently and as part of a team. You will be responsible for the smooth and efficient running of the shop and for providing excellent customer service. Responsibilities include: managing stock control and display; supervising volunteers and van crew and ensuring the security of staff and the shop. You must have previous retail experience

Nurse Specialist in Palliative Care

Salary: £38,670 FTE
Hours: Full Time (part time considered)

St Barnabas House provides specialist palliative care to adults in the Worthing, Adur, Arun and Henfield areas through a range of services, including in-patient care, Day Hospice and community care.

Are you passionate about palliative care?

Do you have a comprehensive knowledge of pain and symptom control?

Do you possess a high level of communication and interpersonal skills and have the ability to work autonomously or as part of a team?

As a Nurse Specialist you will be working as part of the Community Palliative Care Team, providing 24 hour specialist nursing advice and support  to patients, families and health-care professionals within the community setting.

Applications are welcomed from Registered Nurses with extensive palliative care knowledge and experience, preferably at Masters Level.  You should hold a relevant degree or post Registration qualification in Palliative Care/Oncology.

We will support you to achieve advanced assessment skills, non-medical prescribing and DNACPR competencies.

NHS pension transferrable.

35 days annual leave, including bank holidays.

Ability to drive and car ownership are essential.

St Barnabas Hospices offers specialist palliative care through two hospices: St Barnabas House adult hospice in Worthing and Chestnut Tree House, the children’s hospice in Sussex. Our shops and Distribution Centre provide one of our most important revenue streams and offer quality items and a friendly service. At a time of continued expansion we currently have the following vacancy:

Are you a highly organised, sales focused Manager who would love to take charge of our busy Littlehampton charity shop? If so, we are looking for an independently minded team worker who will join our team of 22 Managers reporting to our Area Manager for support and guidance.

Responsibilities include delivering excellent customer service; managing staff and volunteers; stock control; visual merchandising; liaison with the Distribution Centre;  managing shop operations; using the EPOS system; daily cash handling and banking; ensuring statutory regulations are met and ensuring the security and safety of staff, volunteers and the shop.

Experience in retail, sales or a similar commercial field is vital and experience of working in a charity shop or knowledge of furniture sales is highly desirable.
