Steyning St Barnabas House shop to auction handmade donated quilts

Friday 9 October 2020

Steyning’s Christ the King Church Quilters Group have kindly donated two handmade quilts to the St Barnabas House shop in Steyning.

The Autumnal themed quilts will be displayed in the High Street shop from Friday 2 October to Saturday 10 October.  Bids can be placed in the shop to raise monies for the local hospice.

The quilts named ‘Autumn Fruits’ and ‘Fruit Baskets’ have been lovingly handstitched by members of the group, each making a different ‘block’ or square.  These blocks were then put together by group member Sandi Dibb to form the beautiful quilts.

Sandi said: “We have not been able to meet as a group in recent months, so these quilts were a lovely way of coming together on a project. We have supported St Barnabas House over many years and decided to donate them as a way of continuing our support.  We hope they raise as much as possible”.

Pop into the shop for more details on the silent auction and to place a bid.  There is a reserve price of £125 for each quilt. All proceeds go towards providing local hospice care.
