Bicycle Exchange supports local hospice

The Bicycle Exchange, who buy and sell quality pre-owned bikes, has opened a new workshop in Billingshurst and chosen St Barnabas House as their charity partner. From April to September 2023, they will make a £10 donation to the hospice for each recycled cycle sold.

Dan, Owner of The Bicycle Exchange said: “When I was researching local charities for us to partner with, there were so many worthwhile causes that were recommended to me. However, St Barnabas House was a name that kept coming up and it was clear that the work they do is so important to the community and has really helped so many people.

“We really hope that the money we can raise for them throughout the summer will go a long way to helping them continue to make a difference for those that need it.”

Explaining what the support means to St Barnabas House, Community Fundraiser Mary Bye said: “For 50 years, St Barnabas House has been part of the local community, providing care and support for people when they need it most. But as only a small proportion of our care costs are funded by the government, we rely heavily on the generosity of individuals and businesses.

“We are thrilled that The Bicycle Exchange have chosen to support us and on behalf of everyone at St Barnabas House, I would like to say a heartfelt thank you for helping to make local hospice care possible.”
