Leaving a charitable legacy in your Will to St Barnabas House not only provides personal comfort, but it supports everything the hospice does. We run an annual Make a Will Month every October which offers help to people when making a Will.
St Barnabas House is very reliant on the generosity of the local community. Our most important source of income is the support we receive from individuals, and gifts in Wills contribute the most.
In fact, the care costs of 1 in every 4 of the people we support are completely funded by gifts in Wills.
Mrs E has generously left a gift in her Will: “You looked after a very dear friend of mine who died at a very young age, he always sung your praise. It’s amazing how much you do and how little funding you get. Leaving a Gift in my Will is my way to give back.”
Thanks to individual like Mrs E, the care of 1 in 4 of our patients is covered by gifts in Wills. Could you help us to look after more patients in the future?
Please watch our animation explaining the importance of making a Will and why you might like to consider leaving a legacy to St Barnabas in your Will.
If you are considering the thoughtful decision of leaving a gift in your Will to St Barnabas House, we have put together a St Barnabas House Legacy Pledge Brochure.
You can also contact Rosie Last, Development Fundraiser, on 01903 706 351 or email wills@stbh.org.uk if you have any questions.
If you do decide to leave a gift in your Will to St Barnabas, to ensure that any gift you make is secure, then you or your solicitor need to include the following information in your Will:
Our legal name: St Barnabas Hospices (Sussex) Ltd – St Barnabas House
Our legal address: Titnore Lane, Worthing, BN12 6NZ
Charity number: 256789
An online book celebrating all those have supported our care through a kind gift in their Will.
We have received a gift from all those included in this book, a bold, thoughtful decision that will help St Barnabas continue to provide dedicated, compassionate hospice care for local people and their families for years to come.
