There’s so many ways you can get involved and support St Barnabas House.


Brighton Marathon 2021

Set to the stunning backdrop of the Sussex coast, Brighton is home to the second largest marathon in the UK. Run for Team St Barnabas for free, with min sponsorship of £500, and make a difference with every step for families in Worthing and the local community.

Be a marathon megastar and make a difference with Team St B in 2021!

Starting at the picturesque Preston Park, the Brighton Marathon takes in the vibrant streets of the city, the scenery of Ovingdean cliffs and Hove Gardens, and Brighton’s stunning seafront, to finish on Madeira Drive, where we’ll be waiting to celebrate your achievement with you.

Run for Team St Barnabas and help provide tailored care to each and every individual who needs it for as long as they need it, help families take a well-earned break and make isolated families feel less alone.

COVID-19 Promise

The organisers will have more details about their COVID safety measures as the event gets closer. We’ll look to share them here as we know more, but for now keep an eye on the Brighton Marathon website for the latest information.

Running with Team St Barnabas

General and Charity Place entries are now closed for the Brighton Marathon 2021…but you can still run for St Barnabas House. Use your Brighton Marathon 2021 place and join Team St B to help make local hospice care possible – now and in the future

If you missed out on the Brighton Marathon this year, not to worry. It’s returning again in April 2022, giving you plenty of time to get that training in. You can join Team St B in 2022…just hit the button and sign up.

Brighton Marathon 2021: Race Day Info

The Brighton Marathon 2021 starts at 9:45am on Sunday 18 April, going from Preston Park to the Event Village on Madeira Drive. For all the latest details, check the Brighton Marathon 2021 website.

Brighton Marathon 2021 route map

With an stunning seaside backdrop, Brighton is home to one of the best marathons in the UK – note that this is the 2020 route map.

From Preston Park you’ll hit the seafront and head out to Ovingdean, before coming back through the city to the Power Station. Rejoining the promenade at Hove, it’s a flat run to the finish on Madeira Drive.

Getting your Brighton Marathon 2021 race number

You’ll need to collect your race pack and race number from the Event Village on the Friday or Saturday ahead of the event.

What’s included in your challenge?

Along with the Running info hub, Team St B run group, Strava club, and Training Runs above, you’ll also get:

  • Bespoke finishers medal (from event organisers)
  • St Barnabas House running vest (with charity place)
  • A St Barnabas hosted marque in the Event Village
  • Post race refreshments from Team St B
  • Sports massage (from event organisers)

Where your money goes

£15 – Buys art supplies, giving patients the chance to express themselves creatively.

£25 – Means a patient can receive a vital blood transfusion at the hospice rather than having to visit hospital.

£50 – Pays for a session with the Family Services Team, giving patients and families time to talk.

£100 – Your donation could give someone the chance to spend the day at the hospice, taking part in activities and enjoying peer support from people in a similar situation.

£150 – Provides a day of care for someone at home, giving loved ones the chance to take a much-needed break
