The Brighton Marathon 2022 returns to its spring slot on Sunday 10 April 2022. Be a marathon megastar in the UK’s second biggest marathon and make a difference for local hospice care with every step.

Whether you’re a running rookie or distance dynamo, you can be a Brighton Marathon megastar with Team St Barnabas in the UK’s second largest marathon on Sunday 10 April 2022.

From the start line buzz in picturesque Preston Park to the finish line ecstasy along Brighton’s stunning seafront, the Brighton Marathon 2022 will carry you through the vibrant city streets and across the panoramic vista of Ovingdean cliffs for a run you’ll never forget.

  • Running Hub: Updated regularly, your Running Info Hub, covers everything from training tips to nutritional advice.
  • Strava Club: A Team St Barnabas Running Club, where you can join events and training runs. Maybe find a running buddy too.
  • Training Runs: As the world opens up again, we’ll be looking to start hosting training runs again from July.

Brighton Marathon route

With an stunning seaside backdrop, Brighton is home to one of the best marathons in the UK – note that this is the 2020 route map.

From Preston Park you’ll hit the seafront and head out to Ovingdean, before coming back through the city to the Power Station. Rejoining the promenade at Hove, it’s a flat run to the finish on Madeira Drive.

What’s included in your challenge?

Along with the Running info hub, Team St Barnabas run group, Strava club, and Training Runs above, you’ll also get:

  • Bespoke finishers medal (from event organisers)
  • St Barnabas House running vest (with charity place)
  • Team St Barnabas cheer squads around the route
  • A St Barnabas Hosue hosted marque in the Event Village
  • Post race refreshments and sports massage

Where your money goes

£15 – Buys art supplies, giving patients the chance to express themselves creatively.

£25 – Means a patient can receive a vital blood transfusion at the hospice rather than having to visit hospital.

£50 – Pays for a session with the Family Services Team, giving patients and families time to talk.

£100 – Your donation could give someone the chance to spend the day at the hospice, taking part in activities and enjoying peer support from people in a similar situation.

£150 – Provides a day of care for someone at home, giving loved ones the chance to take a much-needed break
