There’s so many ways you can get involved and support St Barnabas House.

Community Companions

Community Companions open morning

Come and find out more about being a Community Companion at our recruitment open morning at St Barnabas House on Wednesday 9 October.

Community Companions

Community Companions provide support to St Barnabas patients who may feel isolated or find some tasks more difficult to complete on their own. Support could include a cup of tea and chat, going out for a coffee or helping someone with their shopping. Companions can also provide company for a patient so a carer can take a break for a couple of hours.

To find out more, come to our recruitment open morning on Wednesday 9 October from 10am.

Becoming a Community Companion

If you decide to become a Community Companion, you will then be invited to attend 2 days’ training prior to becoming a volunteer (please note you will need to have completed an application form and attended an interview before being accepted onto training.)

The next dates are:

Training Day 1 – Friday 8 November 2019 (9.15am to 3pm)

Training Day 2 – Thursday 14 November 2019 (9.15am to 3pm)
