Staying connected is more important now than ever. To coincide with International Friendship Day on 30 July, Cuppa for Care is your chance to bring family, friends and colleagues together – online or in a small group – over a cuppa and a slice of cake.
Cuppa for Care (24-31 July) is your chance to bring family, friends and colleagues together – online or in a small group – over a cuppa and a slice of cake.
By asking everyone to donate the cost of a trip to their favourite cafe, together you will be providing care with every cup you share.
Dash of milk, no sugar? Here at the hospice we ask all patients and families how they take their tea, because sometimes nothing is more important than a perfect brew.
In fact, over 22,000 cups of tea and coffee are drunk at the hospice each year!
Your donation will share the gift of tea and cake with patients and their loved ones during this challenging time, offering comfort, support and a chance to talk.
1. Pick a date. Our official Cuppa for Care week is 24-31 July 2020, but you can pick any time that works best for you and your guests. Why not make it extra special and host it on International Friendship Day on 30 July 2020?
2. What’s your cup of tea? Whether vintage tea, builders tea, cream tea, office tea break or G&T – choose how you would like to celebrate.
3. Fundraise. Set up your Cuppa for Care fundraising page and don’t forget to tell people why you’re supporting the hospice. The money you raise will automatically be sent to St Barnabas House.
4. Send out invites. Whether you choose to get together online or as a small group, invite your loved ones to join you and watch the donations come flooding in. For an online event, pick from platforms including Zoom, Skype, FaceTime, Whatsapp, Teams or House Party.

Thank you – every penny and pound raised from your Cuppa for Care virtual tea party will help provide care and comfort to local people living with a terminal illness.
