Sunday 3 May will see the return of Hit the Downs MTB, the annual off-road mountain bike event across the South Downs. You can choose from the cool 30km, challenge yourself to the impressive 60km or dare to take on the new epic 80km route!
Registration includes chip timing, refreshment stops and mechanical support on route along with souvenir medal and pre-event training rides.
The undulating course will test you with its multitude of tricky climbs and rapid downhill descents. Whether you choose to take on the cool 30km route, challenge yourself to the impressive 60km route or dare to take on the new epic 80km route you are guaranteed an exhilarating day in the saddle.

Marmalade MTB are back and are supporting Hit the Downs MTB 2020 by providing FREE training rides.
All training rides will have an 8.30am meet for a 9am start, meeting point is Shoreham by sea, exact location to be confirmed. Please see the below ride dates below;
Beginner rides with Sean (Suitable for 30km riders, if you are new to two wheels or have not taken on a ride of this calibre before).
Advanced rides with Jim (Suitable for 60km and 80km riders, if you are a seasoned cyclist and are just out of practise or need to up your endurance).
Only Hit the Downs MTB participants are eligible to take part and booking onto the training rides are on a first come first serve basis.
