Discover the beauty of the night sky with this marathon trek through the South Downs National Park.

A unique night-time trek across the South Downs National Park. Beginning in Falmer, just outside Brighton, this marathon length trek will see you trek through the night across the South Downs National Park before reaching Beachy Head and Eastbourne as the sun begins to rise.

The South Downs National Park has International Dark Sky Reserve status, making it one of the best places in the country to view the night sky. As dawn breaks, your hard work will be rewarded with breath-taking views across the South Downs and English Channel.

You’ll be fully supported all the way by experienced trek leaders and then celebrate at the finish line with a delicious breakfast.

You can sign up as a self-funder or minimum sponsorship.

Minimum sponsorship: Pay a non-refundable registration fee of £40 when you book and raise a minimum of £325 for your nominated charity.

Self-funder: Pay a non-refundable registration fee of £40 when you book, then a balance of £159 (5 weeks before your challenge). Fundraise as much as you can for your nominated charity.

  1. Register on the Charity Challenge website.
  2. Choose the date you’d like to take part and whether you are self-funding or taking minimum sponsorship.
  3. You’ll have the opportunity to select which charity you’re fundraising for – and you can select St Barnabas House under the ‘Other charity’ option.
  4. Get in touch with us once you’re done and we will send you a bespoke fundraising pack!
