Join St Barnabas House in March 2022 and take on the rolling trails of the South Downs in the annual South Downs Trek, charity marathon trekking challenge!
Join our trek team on Saturday 26 March 2022 as you take on a marathon distance trek.
You’ll be walking across the beautiful South Downs whilst helping local patients and their families live life as fully as possible, for the time they have left together.
Stomp the trails this Spring and take on the swooping South Downs and all it has to offer. With a fully signed route and refreshment stops, as well as marshals and first aid to keep you safe, this professionally organised trekathon has everything you need to cross the finish line safely in style. Not forgetting your all-important medal!
Whether you are taking part in memory of a loved one, getting a group of mates together for a bit of fun, using it as a team building day with work colleagues, or are taking on a personal challenge, we want to see you on Saturday 26 March 2022 for a fantastic day out on the Downs! And after the rollercoaster year we have had what could be better? But don’t just take our word for it!
“Amazing experience with my buddy Nicky and met some truly fabulous people. And thank you to all the helpers and volunteers along the way. We couldn’t have done it without you guys. Same time next year?” – Suzanne Heath, South Downs Trekker 2020
“It was tough but really good. We’re no spring chickens, but it was good fun and we really enjoyed it and I will be doing it again next year! Such a worthwhile cause and we met fantastic people! I was so impressed with everything” – Tessa, South Downs Trekker 2020
Your £40 registration fee covers the cost of putting on the event only. To help reach everyone who needs hospice care we ask everyone taking part to raise a minimum of £250.
Every pound you raise will go directly to support local people and their families cared for by St Barnabas House.
The Events Team at St Barnabas House is here to support you throughout your fundraising journey. Why not get in touch and see how we can help?
Thanks to support from trekkers like you, St Barnabas can be there for local people with serious illnesses who rely on our expert care.
You can help ensure they’re looked after in the peace and tranquillity of the hospice. Or, if they wish, be cared for in the comfort of their own homes.
You’ll also enable us to support their families for years to come, with bereavement counselling and opportunities to remember loved ones. Thank you.
