On the day information

We are really looking forward to seeing you for your marathon challenge this Saturday! Please find links below to the final information that you will need on the day, including joining instructions and FAQs.

Please arrive by 6.15am at the latest, the trek will start promptly at 7am from Northbrook College, Goring, BN12 6NU.

Weather

The event is still going ahead as planned. If the weather conditions continue to worsen and the event needs to be cancelled you will contacted the morning of the challenge by text. Please keep a close eye on your phone.

The weather is set to be windy and may rain. Please ensure you are dressed appropriately for the conditions. Layers, water proofs and sturdy boots are highly recommended. The ground may be soggy and waterlogged so please be prepared!

Your sponsorship

Your entry fees cover the cost of putting on the event only. To help us reach everyone who needs hospice care from St Barnabas House we ask everyone taking part to raise a minimum of £250. Did you know: On average, a collection tin raises £87.16, contact the team to get yours.

How your sponsor money might be spent:

  • £35 will allow a patient to enjoy a bath in one of our fully assisted bathrooms.
  • £181 will provide for a whole night’s care for a patient, allowing their carer to benefit from a good night’s sleep
  • £250 will allow us to hold a social evening for bereaved clients allowing them to gain support from their peers and meet with others who have suffered a loss.
  • £329 will pay for a full 24 hours of hospice at home for a local person.
  • £625 will fund the cost of a 24 hour stay at the In-Patient Unit for a patient.
