Close up of a christmas tree

Easy ways to fundraise

Recycle your Christmas tree

Get your Christmas tree recycled in January, in return for a voluntary donation to St Barnabas House.

What says Christmas better than a real tree standing in your home or office, fully decorated and filling the room with its fabulous pine aroma?

But come New Year’s Day, you face the task of getting rid of it. Where do you take it? Who does recycling? Will it fit in the car? Who will help?

This year, if you live in Angmering, East Preston, Littlehampton, Rustington or Wick and any BN16, BN17 postcode areas, you can get your Christmas tree taken away in return for a donation to St Barnabas House. Our Christmas tree collection scheme lets you dispose of your tree in a hassle-free and environmentally friendly way. You’ll also be helping patients and families in your local community.

Thank you to Warnes Projects, Haskins Garden Centre, Biffa, Buywise and Arun District Council for all their help with the project!

How does it work?

Simply register your Christmas tree collection on the Just Helping website before midnight on Wednesday 5 January. We'll come and collect your tree between 9-11 January.

When you register you'll be able to make a voluntary donation to St Barnabas House, which will make a big difference to patients and families in the local community.

Could you volunteer this January?

If a real tree isn't your thing, but you still want to help out - why not lend a hand this January and help us collect Christmas trees from home addresses in the local area for recycling.
