Pet Festive is your chance to celebrate your trusty lockdown companion and win a portrait of your pet by talented local artist Sara Abbott.
Pose your pet, dress them up, dress them down or just as they are, anything is pawsable! Simply take a digital photo and send in your entry by completing the form below.
It’s the purrrfect way to say thank you to our pets, who have been there providing us with unconditional love, loyalty and laughter during this challenging time.
The winner will be judged by patients at the hospice, where their furry friends are a common sight, providing faithful companionship and joy through tough times.
Once you’ve completed the form, please share your Pet Festive photo on social media and nominate two or three of your friends to enter!
There is a suggested donation of £5, contributing towards a £10 freshly cooked Christmas dinner for a patient staying at the hospice over Christmas.
But please give whatever you can afford by donating here.
All entries must be received by Thursday 24 December 2020 – you have until Christmas Eve!
The winner will be announced on Friday 15 January 2021.
A one-off piece by talented artist Sara Abbott, this incredible pet portrait prize is worth £250. Consisting of a loose sketch on fine artist paper, Sarah will create the artwork using oil and spray paint with pencil detail.
The winner needs to supply a suitable photograph and the finished work will be sent in a tube so you can choose your preferred frame and mounting. The sketch will need to be framed under glass.
