St Barnabas House depends on over 1,000 volunteers who help in the hospice, in our charity shops and at our fundraising events

Join our team of volunteer counsellors and help play an important role at St Barnabas House by supporting patients and their families.
Our Family Services Team are a small group of staff that provide support services to the loved ones of our patients as part of our hospice care. These services include counselling and emotional support, chaplaincy and our bereavement service. We have an opportunity for more specially trained volunteers to offer our service-users ongoing counselling support.
You will be required to attend in-house Bereavement and Loss Training which is split into six sessions. These are next due to be held;
