Adapting complementary therapies in adult palliative care

About the course

This session will equip trained complementary therapists with the knowledge to support clients with life limiting illness and to build confidence to deliver a safe therapeutic service.
Learning outcomes

  • To equip trained complementary therapists with the knowledge surrounding Palliative Care service users in reference to different diagnoses, previous or ongoing medical treatment options and common symptoms
  • Build confidence in treating patients within a Palliative Care setting
  • To help therapists provide a safe, research-based service within a multi-disciplinary environment

The day will include time to share adapted massage moves with each other and a practical session using equipment commonly found in a Clinical environment
Participants will receive a Certificate for CPD purposes at the end of the day

Who should attend?

Complementary Therapist at Level 3 or above with a recognised qualification in Body Massage, Reflexology or Aromatherapy.
