An Overview of End of Life Care

About the course

We are very excited to be expanding our multi-day course format for for Health Care Assistants (HCAs) and Allied Health Professionals (AHPs) – including but not limited to Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists. This 3 day course is applicable across all care settings to develop staffs ability to assess and support users with palliative care needs.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Principles and Philosophy of Palliative Care
  • Recognising dying
  • Eating & drinking at end of life
  • Sleep Management
  • Symptom Management at end of life
  • Complimentary therapy at end of life
  • Care after death (simulation)

Who should attend?

HCA, AHP (including but not limited to Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Speech and Language Therapists)
