Bereavement, Loss and Grief in Adults

About the course

This half study day can be used as a refresher for the principles of supporting bereaved adults or to gain/improve a knowledge base. The focus will be on ensuring following the death of someone close to them, people will be supported during the bereavement process. It is anticipated that group discussions will feature as part of this short course, linking theory to practice with relevant signposting.

Learning outcomes:

  • Outline the principles of supporting the bereaved adult
  • Understand how to support the bereaved adult during the bereavement process
  • Be able to identify the need for further support for the bereaved adult
  • Outline the specific challenges experienced by the bereaved adult during Covid-19
  • List specific resources available to provide support to bereaved adults in West Sussex
