Educational courses

Introduction to supporting children who are bereaved

About the course

The focus of this session will be on ensuring that following the death of someone close to them, children will be supported during the bereavement process in discussion with their family or guardian and other professionals.  There will be an emphasis on support immediately following the person’s death and identification of the child’s need for future support.

This session  can be used as a refresher for the principles of supporting bereaved children or to gain or improve your knowledge.  It is anticipated that group discussions will feature as part of this short course.
