An Introduction to the Management of Syringe Drivers

This half day session introduces working with a syringe driver and gives attendees the opportunity to learn why a syringe driver may be needed.

About the course

There will be a focus on the implications for its use in practice, advantages and possible disadvantages, drug compatibility and the practicalities of setting the syringe driver up as well as monitoring the effect of its use. The session will include a blend of theory and include a practical workshop.

A certificate of attendance, not competence, will be issued.

Registered General Nurses and doctors working in palliative and end of life care
