An Introduction to the Management of Syringe Drivers

NOW FULLY BOOKED! This half day session provides an opportunity for registered general nurses and doctors to consider the appropriate use of a syringe driver (McKinley T34) in palliative care.

About the course

There will be a focus on the implications for its use in practice, advantages and possible disadvantages, drug compatibility and the practicalities of setting the syringe driver up as well as monitoring the effect of its use. The session will include a blend of theory and include a practical workshop. A certificate of attendance, not competence, will be issued.
