Meet the healthcare professionals who make up St Barnabas House Palliative Care Team, dedicated to providing excellent care to patients both at the house and in the community.
We have three part time consultants in palliative medicine. These are supported by two doctors in providing medical input and advice to our Community Team, Day Hospice and In-Patient Unit. In addition we have two rotating posts, a Specialist Trainee on the South London Palliative Medicine Training scheme, and a ST1/2 on the Worthing GP training scheme who provide junior medical cover to the In-Patient Unit.
We have a team of Clinical Nurse Specialists in palliative care who provide advice and support to patients and healthcare professionals in primary care. They do not provide direct hands on care.
