Clinical Counselling Supervisor

Hours: 4 hours every fortnight
Salary: £55 per hour
Closing date: Wednesday 16 October

St Barnabas House provides specialist palliative care to adults in the Worthing, Adur, Arun and Henfield areas through a range of services, including in-patient care, day hospice and community care.

Our volunteers provide counselling to patients, their families and the bereaved at St Barnabas House and occasionally in other settings, typically at home.

We are looking for someone to supervise our Family Services Volunteer Counsellors in two fortnightly groups at St Barnabas House. You will be available to respond to Volunteer Counsellors by phone outside of groups, in case of emergency as well as meet regularly with the Volunteers’ Coordinator. You will be responsible for your own supervision.

You will be expected to attend a six monthly meeting with the other Clinical Supervisors, the Family Services Manager and our Staff Counsellors. This will be paid for.

We are looking for a BACP Accredited or UKCP Registered counsellor with experience of providing Counselling Supervision. A Clinical Supervision qualification is highly desirable. Knowledge or experience of working in palliative care and/or bereavement would be an advantage.
