Family Services Administrator

Hours: 37.5 hours (part-time/job share also considered)
Salary: F.T.E £20,890 - £21,980 p.a. depending on depth and variety of experience in a similar role

St Barnabas Hospices offers specialist palliative care through two hospices: St Barnabas House adult hospice in Worthing and Chestnut Tree House children’s hospice near Arundel in Sussex.

 

We are looking for an experienced Administrator to support our multi-professional Family Services Team.

This exciting opportunity will require you to

  • Respond sensitively to people who are emotionally distressed
  • Be very organised and capable of responding well to pressure and change
  • Be proficient in a variety of forms of IT and be quick to learn
  • Enjoy being part of a vibrant and friendly multi-professional team
  • Be comfortable working on your own

You will

  • Be the team’s initial point of contact for clients, colleagues in other teams and external professionals
  • Provide secretarial and administrative support to the team
  • Manage the team’s client databases
  • Ensure that client letters, leaflets etc. are sent out in a timely fashion
  • Provide expert support and advice to team members and other hospice personnel with regard to IT support and other service processes
  • Manage and re-stock the resources used by team members
