Health Care Assistant – Hospice at Home

About the role

We are an innovative team who are passionate about providing end of life care to people in the community. It is a very exciting time to join us, as we move to a 24hour service and strive to offer choice to those with very complex needs to be able to die at home, if that is their wish.

As a Hospice at Home Health Care Assistant you will have the opportunity to make a significant difference for people with end of life care needs in their own homes. With a minimum NVQ level 3 qualification or equivalent qualification and experience, you will be able and willing to work independently whilst remaining part of the Hospice at Home Team. You will be flexible regarding hours of work and have a driving licence, as you will be working across the whole of the local area.

You will be able to offer high-level practical care and support to patients, their carers and families in your day-to-day visits. A demonstrable insight into palliative care is ideal and a sensitive communication style is essential.
