Hospice Doctor – Temporary Six Month Contract

Hours: Full time - 1 in 5 non-resident on call
Salary: £51,970 - £65,862 (includes on-call)
Closing date: Thursday 8 October

As a Hospice Doctor you will gain experience of working on our busy 20 bedded inpatient unit, working alongside two other ward doctors. Supervision is available from three Consultants.

The post will provide excellent experience for those considering a career in Palliative Medicine or who want to gain palliative care skills appropriate for General Practice or Hospital medicine.

You will take responsibility for day to day medical management of patients on the inpatient unit and day hospice. To integrate with and complement the multi-disciplinary teamwork of the Hospice. To participate in the on-call rota for the provision of 24-hour care.

Applicants must be fully registered and licensed with the GMC and have completed foundation training.

This is a temporary contract, commencing on 18th November 2020 for a period of six months. However; there may be the possibility to extend further.

An enhanced DBS will be sought, if you are successful in this role.
