About the role

We’re looking for a highly experienced receptionist, preferably with experience in a similar working environment. You’ll be able to demonstrate a high level of care and compassion and be able to remain calm under pressure.

As the first point of contact for all visitors and callers to the hospice, you’ll need to be professional, emphatic and sensitive in your approach. You’ll be responsible for providing a first-class support service to meet the operational requirements of the hospice.

Confidential and sensitivity are at the heart of the role along with excellent communication and listening skills, as you will sometimes be dealing with difficult and sensitive situations. The role also requires that you provide administrative support to the wider hospice and therefore the ability to demonstrate high levels of accuracy, strong admin skills and a can-do approach is essential. You must have the flexibility to work as part of a team providing cover for sickness and annual leave.
