Retail Relief Shop Manager

About the role

Our Shops and Distribution Centre provide one of our most important revenue streams and offer quality items and a friendly service.

Are you a highly organised, sales focused manager who could provide holiday and sickness cover across our teams within St Barnabas’ busiest hospice charity shops in East and West Sussex?

If so, we are looking for an independently minded, successful manager who is passionate about customer service to join our team of Managers supported by our Area Manager.

Responsibilities include:

  • Delivering excellent customer service
  • managing a team of staff and volunteers
  • stock control
  • visual merchandising
  • liaison with the Distribution Centre for stock and furniture
  • using the EPOS system
  • daily cash handling and banking
  • ensuring the staff, volunteers, the shop and the site are safe and secure.

Experience in retail, sales or a similar fast-moving customer orientated environment is vital. Experience of working in a charity shop or knowledge of furniture sales is highly desirable, however full training would be given to the right candidate.
