It’s sure to be a Night to Remember!

Join us for our 15th year of Night to Remember. This well-loved night time walk is your opportunity to do something different for a local charity hospice.

Walk through the night to remember someone you’ve lost, or take it on as a personal challenge. Alongside 600 fellow walkers, you’ll set off at 8 or 9.30 pm to see the last of the setting sun and end your walk at night – just in time for cake and celebrations back at the Leisure Centre.

The starting line of Night to Remember

We start the evening with lots of fun, funky lights and a visit from Barnabee the Bee

You’ll arrive at the Worthing Leisure Centre to start your night. You’ll already have been sent out your walker number, so all you need to do is let us know you’re here; then it’s time to take selfies at our photo station, spend time with your family, get yourself a flashing headband ready for you to truly light up the night– and start having fun!

Get yourself ready for the night with a quick warm up

We’ll get you all ready to go and lead you in a warm up and stretch – readying you for the route ahead!

What previous walkers say:

"A real sense of family and community - it's absolutely incredible"

Our volunteer team are always there to lend a hand

Every year we need 196 volunteers for Night to Remember. They’re stationed on the route all the way around – handing out snacks and water, as well as cheering you over the finish line and handing out the cake! If you’re thinking of volunteering this year – we’d love to hear from you!

The challenge starts

We’re really proud of this fun community event that is full of lots of chatter and laughter! Along the way they’ll be lots of surprises to keep you entertained.

Time to remember

Among the fun, there’s also time for reflection if you’re taking on the challenge in memory of a loved one. You can write a memory on the memory tree and take time to remember someone you’ve lost.

What your fundraising means

St Barnabas House has been providing loving hospice care for 50 years, and it’s events like Night to Remember that help us to raise the vital funds needed to continue providing support for local people with life-limiting illnesses. Night to Remember is one of our most popular events – and your amazing sponsorship has helped raise £1.6Million in previous years.

It’s because of your support that we’re able to not just provide care for patients at the end of their lives, but also do things that go the extra mile! For instance:

  • Visits by horses who came to the hospice, meeting patients in the gardens and providing a lot of fun on the In-Patient Unit.
  • Our nurses are always looking for ways to improve a patient’s day – recently rallying round to get the perfect shade of nail varnish for a patient who wanted to feel glamourous.
  • And even organising a wedding to make sure a couple could say their vows in a way that felt right for them.
