Fundraising frequently asked questions

Letting your supporters know about the great cause you’re fundraising for can really help to persuade them to sponsor you – feel free to use these short descriptions of what we do to help inform your supporters of where their sponsorship is going:

St Barnabas House

St Barnabas House is the hospice for the Worthing, Adur, Arun and Henfield areas. Thanks to support from the local community, adults with life-limiting illnesses and their loved ones can enjoy life as fully as possible, for the time they have left together. Specialist care is provided in people’s own homes across the area, as well as in the hospice building in Worthing. And, when the time comes, St Barnabas House is there to support people at the end of their life so that they can die with dignity in a warm and caring environment.

Chestnut Tree House

Chestnut Tree House is the children’s hospice for Sussex and South East Hampshire. Thanks to support from the local community children and families who know they don’t have long together have the chance to live life to the full and say goodbye in the way that is right for them.

The generosity of the local community makes this happen. It costs over £5 million every year to provide hospice care for local children, with only 17% of this funded by the government. You can show your support by fundraising, volunteering, taking on a challenge, playing the Chestnut Tree House lottery, or leaving a gift in your will.
