Challenging conversations

Course details

The aim of this study session is to identify the types of conversations that are challenging and what makes them difficult. We will also explore skills that can support the development of effective communication when working with people with life limiting, end-of-life conditions. 

Cost:

  • For all Sussex employees in health and social care: free (fully funded by NHS Sussex)
  • For anyone working outside of Sussex: £50 (1/2 day)/£100 (full day) all materials provided

-Identify the types conversations that you find challenging. 

-Explore what makes these conversations difficult.

-Reflect on key communication skills that can help with challenging conversations. 

-Demonstrate different communications skills that can be used.
