What items you can donate

Donate your pre-loved items and make a difference to local people needing hospice care.

Thank you for thinking of donating to St Barnabas House! Your generous support keeps our shops running.

Please review this list before booking a furniture collection or dropping off items. Disposing of unsellable items costs our charity money, so we appreciate your help in ensuring we can accept your items. We also ask you to please not leave donations outside our charity shops, as we’re unable to sell these items.

Find your nearest shop to drop off your items

We have shops across the Worthing area where you can drop off your items. You can drop off your items at any of our charity shops, but make sure to call them first to check they have capacity. Some of our shops get very full and we can't accept any more donations for health and safety reasons. Any large items should be dropped off at our Retail Distribution Centre.

If you're unsure about an item, call our Retail Distribution Center or pop into a local shop - we'll be more than happy to help!

Don’t forget Gift Aid

Every item you donate to us could be worth 25% more at no extra cost to you! When you drop off your donation you’ll be asked if you want to Gift Aid it. If you’re a UK tax payer you’re eligible to claim Gift Aid, which will allow us to collect an extra 25% on the sale of your donated items. You can print off and fill in the Gift Aid form and hand it in when you drop off your donation.
