About the golf day

Ham Manor Golf day is a firm favourite in the St Barnabas events calendar. In 2024 Bennett Griffin joined us as a headline sponsor, and helped deliver a stand-out day of golf, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for everyone involved. The day begins with participants arriving at Ham Manor Golf Club and being greeted with refreshments and bacon rolls. The teams of golfers have staggered tee times throughout the day, maintaining a steady pace of play.

Alongside the main golf event, there are additional fundraising activities, including a raffle and a putting challenge, which were fun extras that Bennett Griffin kindly facilitated. The day concludes with a meal, a prize-giving ceremony and an auction, which further contributed to the fundraising total.

The impact of our partnership

Events like the Ham Manor Golf day are essential for charities like ours, and with help from corporate sponsors like Bennett Griffin, we’re able to create memorable, fun days that make significant amounts of money for the hospice. Plus, it’s not just the financial contribution that makes the difference, the day was also full of camaraderie and community spirit!

The positive impact from a corporate partnership extends further than the impact to the charity. With your business being associated with a local community event, you’re also able to meet new potential clients, benefit from positive word of mouth and boost morale for your your employees.

From our partner, Bennett Griffin:

“The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive and it was great to see so many people enjoying themselves while supporting such a meaningful cause. The combination of a well-planned event, perfect weather and enthusiastic participants made for a truly memorable day.

Supporting St Barnabas House is a cause that resonates deeply with our firm. Beyond being a vital service in our local community, providing specialist palliative care, St Barnabas holds a personal significance for many of our team. Some have had family members cared for at the hospice, and some beloved members of our firm received their care there as well. These personal experiences have strengthened our resolve to support the hospice, as we’ve witnessed first-hand the compassion and quality of care they provide to those in need.”
