The impact your donation makes

How is a local hospice funded?

The cost of providing all our care services is over £10 million a year, with only 22% of this coming from central government.

The care we provide is only possible thanks to the generosity of the local community. You can show your support by fundraising, volunteering, taking part in a challenge event, playing the lottery, or leaving a gift in your will.

How your donation makes all the difference

£11

could provide a patient with a delicious homecooked meal, catered to their individual needs

£27

could give a patient the chance to relax and unwind with a massage, aromatherapy or reflexology session at the hospice

£54

could give a patient an afternoon with our artist-in-residence, exploring complex feelings as they near the end of their life

£94

could mean a new hospice patient receives a home visit from a Community Nurse Specialist

£170

is enough to give a patient a whole day of hospice care at home, surrounded by home comforts and the people they love

£237

could fund a nurse on the hospice ward for a full day - helping people live life to the full in the time that they have

You're making a real impact to peoples' lives

"Dom ended up being so happy in the hospice because for the first time in many years I was able to be his wife, not his carer. I didn’t have to lift him, wash him or feed him, the nurses did it all. Even though we knew he was very ill, we were able to share so many precious moments together and one of those most memorable times was in the hospice art room.”
