Brighton Marathon 2020

Run for St Barnabas House in the Brighton Marathon 2020 to help raise vital funds to provide end of life care services and support for even more families across Worthing and the local community.

Registration is absolutely free with a minimum sponsorship of £500. We’ll be there to support you every step of the way!

What do you get when you join Team St Barnabas in 2020?

Support with your training
  • Coffee Catch Ups: Come and say hi. Meet us and other Team St Barnabas runners over coffee and cake.
  • Training Runs: There’s a marathon task ahead, so let’s achieve it together! We’ll be put on training runs to help you reach the distance.
  • Pasta Party: It’s all about carb loading for the big day. You’ll be invited to join us at the house for a Team St Barnabas tour and pasta!
  • Facebook Group: Sharing is caring. Join our St Barnabas runners group to chat and share stories, tips, and ideas.
Support with your fundraising
  • Running Vest: A St Barnabas House running vest to wear with pride on the day and for all your training runs.
  • Fundraising Pack: A guide to give your fundraising a kick start, full of ideas to inspire you!
  • JustGiving: The simplest way for your family, friends, and colleagues to sponsor you.

Support on race day
  • Team Photo: We’ll be there to meet you at the start and wave you off, but not before grabbing a Team St Barnabas group shot.
  • Cheer Squad: We’ll be with all the way, with loads of supporters on route ready to hand out cheers and jelly babies.
  • Event Village: We’ll be there to welcome you home after your amazing achievement with refreshments and much needed massage.

Brighton Marathon 2020: Race Day Info

Brighton Marathon 2020 takes place on Sunday 19 April, starting at 9:45am from Preston Park to the Event Village on Madeira Drive.

Getting your Brighton Marathon 2020 race number

You’ll need to collect your race pack and race number from the Event Village on the Friday or Saturday ahead of the event.

How your sponsor money will help

Here are just a few ways your support makes a huge difference to the lives of  in our care…

• £148 will provide for a whole day of care for a patient, allowing their carer to benefit from some much needed respite.

• £181 will provide for a whole night’s care for a patient, allowing their carer to benefit from a good night’s sleep.

• £250 will allow us to hold a social evening for bereaved clients allowing them to gain support from their peers and meet with others who have suffered a loss.

• £363 allows us to provide one hour of all care services at St Barnabas House.

• £390 allows us to provide one day of our Outpatients service.

• £625 will fund the cost of a 24 hour stay at the In Patient Unit for a patient.

• £1,460 will cover 24hrs of our Hospice at Home team.

Not a runner but would like to get involved…become a Team St Barnabas volunteer!

We couldn’t make our events work without our team of amazing and dedicated volunteers. Helping with marshalling, car parking, bag drops, medal giving, and being part of our race day cheer squads.
