The In-Patient Ward Team offer a friendly, warm and calm environment. We have a large team of nurses who provide our hospice care services, many of whom are very experienced and have specialist knowledge in palliative care.
We aim to offer you personal, high-quality personalised care. We focus on the quality of life for our patients, tailoring our care to your needs and wishes, and working with the reality of your situation.
St Barnabas House has 20 beds across five wings, including five family rooms. All rooms are private with en-suite facilities. Each wing has a comfortable communal lounge, where patients and relatives can relax in spacious surroundings.
The Nursing Team allocates the most appropriate bed for you, balancing your needs with the needs of the other patients. We have some facilities for close family and friends to stay the night.
Home from St Barnabas House volunteers support the safe discharge of patients from the In-patient Unit. If appropriate they provide transport home and then offer two visits a weeks for a period of four weeks. Support could include shopping, re-ordering prescriptions and companionship.
