Steve opens up about his late wife, Linda – or Lin to her friends – and her time spent with the hospice after her cancer diagnosis, as well as the support he’s received since her death.

“If you’re fortunate in life, you will meet that one person who is as much a part of you as your own body and soul. For me, that person was Linda… If I can sum up St Barnabas in one word, it would be ‘comforting’. Compared to hospitals which are busy and methodical, I couldn’t believe how tranquil the hospice felt. The staff were never rushed, and Lin loved the beautiful gardens and homecooked food.”
